If you are having difficulty getting started with dietary change, the self-help mentoring service delivered by Amanda Geary aims to help you put your good intentions into practice.
There will be no forms or questionnaires to complete, or a detailed dietary or nutritional analysis. Instead, you will undertake an email conversation with Amanda that aims to support you to make the changes you need, or want, to make, at a pace that’s right for you.
Amanda will be drawing on her previous professional experience as a nutritional therapist, and her personal experience of recovery from ill health using a dietary self-help approach. Her role will be as mentor or coach.
You can expect to receive a confidential response to each of your emails within 72 hours. Emails from Amanda are friendly, encouraging, and empathise with your particular life circumstances. They usually contain some or all of the following:
- suggestions for next steps
- information from, or references to, the Food and Mood Handbook and/or signposts or links to other useful resources
- questions to help you reflect on your process
Please note: if you need a practitioner who can provide a detailed nutritional therapy analysis or psychological counselling, please visit our find a professional pages for a list of health professionals who offer a range of other face-to-face, on-line and telephone services.
